Interest Rates Desk Strategist – Analyst/Associate
We are looking for an Analyst/Associate candidate in G10 Rates Desk Strategy (Sales & Trading). The team provides market insights, in-depth analyses on relevant themes and actionable trade ideas to clients and internal trading desks. The desk covers the entire spectrum of rates products from vanilla/exotic derivatives to cash, across DM rate markets.

What will you be doing?
- Generate ideas and opportunities for new and existing clients in response to relevant market themes and dislocations
- Develop & maintain tools, quantitative metrics and signals for identifying trading opportunities
- Establish/maintain a strong connection with various sales and trading desks. Communicate opportunities to sales & clients, with a view to generate flows for the rates business
- Interact with various sales and trading desks to identify key flows and risks; work with these desks to efficiently recycle risk where possible
- Interact with partners in other fixed income divisions (fx, credit, commodities) to identify opportunities to collaborate and cross-sell
What we’re looking for:
- Strong analytical mindset, with ability to go in depth and provide differentiating analysis
- Knowledge of various interest rate products, including vanilla/exotic derivatives
- Keen interest in the financial markets, economics, market dynamics and have the desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong academic qualifications, ideally in Finance, Economics or STEM subjects
- Proficient in programming
- A commercial mindset and desire to collaborate and create strong partnerships with sales & trading and clients
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Strong analytical skills along with a great attention to detail
- Programming skills, such as in Python and VBA
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow the scope of the desk strategy team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

This role is deemed as a Certified roleand may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
