Your Team

TheBenelux Accounting Lead is an integral position in the wider EMEA Controlling organization. Our Controlling Team’s role is to ensure accuracy and integrity of US GAAP and statutory financial statements for entities across the EMEA region, provide expertise in sophisticated accounting matters and decisions, and support corporate income tax compliance alongside external tax advisors and internal tax team.

The EMEA Controlling team builds positive relationships with Vantive Business Services, finance business partners, commercial and other functional organizations to support financial and accounting processes in compliance with US GAAP and statutory requirements and company’s policies and procedures.

This exciting position is located in our Vantive Utrecht office with remote work possibilities.

What you'll be doing
  • Oversee US GAAP, statutory, and tax accounting and reporting for the holding and commercial entities in the Netherlands and Belgium.
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of all reporting to shareholders on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Act as a point of contact to local authorities for matters related to accounting and tax compliance, including regulatory and withholding tax queries for dividend distributions.
  • Support financing activities such as reinvestments, dividend distributions, and capital contributions.
  • Prepare and present board meeting documentation, including information on annual accounts statements, financial performance highlights, subsidiary impairment testing or subsidiary restructuring, CAPEX plans, etc., and support preparation of board minutes.
  • Ensure adherence of processes to company's policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements, and local rules and regulations; support strengthening of financial processes and controls.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key partners: local business, operations, and decision support management.
  • Lead as the reference for all sophisticated accounting and tax issues for entities in scope.
  • Work closely with Vantive Business Services and Service Delivery partners in execution of end to end finance processes.
  • Support local, regional and global projects, as required; provide financial support in such projects.
  • Be an advocate of finance function and maintain focus on continuous process improvement.
What you'll bring

Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting and/or qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA (or equivalent) with significant professional experience in accounting or auditing of financial statements within a multinational and business services environment

You are at ease in working in a matrixed organization and have solid understanding of US GAAP and tax matters, as well as Dutch GAAP and tax regulation.

Excellent capacity in using reporting tools, as well as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with experience in JDE being an advantage.

Highly proficient in both Dutch and English, your excellent communication and project leadership skills enable you have a diplomatic, flexible, and “can do” mind-set.
