Tax Manager - Global Hedge Fund House

The Company

One of the top tier Global Hedge Fund is adding a new headcount under their Regional Tax team based in HK.

The Role

• Managing corporate income tax return compliance and filings
• Handling indirect tax return compliance and filings while overseeing internal indirect tax processes
• Ensuring compliance with withholding tax (WHT) return filings and managing internal WHT processes
• Establishing internal controls for tax disclosures in financial reports and preparing reconciliations between accounting records and tax returns
• Collaborating closely with the global Tax team to provide ongoing business support

Your Profile

Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant with 3+ years of tax experience, ideally in major financial services or a leading accountancy firm
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong taxation and exposure to APAC jurisdictions like Singapore
• Proficient in direct and indirect taxation, double tax treaties, and transfer pricing principles
• Eager to broaden expertise in tax processes and understand global business tax impacts
• Effective communicator able to address complex issues concisely
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in resolving challenges in fast-paced environments
• Skilled at managing multiple workflows and automating tax preparation processes for increased efficiency
• Fluency in English is essential
