Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and filing of corporate income tax including all necessary schedules as per Income Tax Ordinance 2001 and rules there under.
- Preparation and filing of sales tax returns related to FBR, SRB, PRA and KPK regime including all necessary schedules.
- Computation and calculation of monthly, quarterly and annual current and deferred tax.
- Preparing reconciliation of WHT weekly income tax payment and its e-filling related to FBR, Gilgit & AJK regime.
- Preparing working and process payment related to tax on premium of FBR and AJK.
- Prepare working related to compliance of Income tax and Sales Tax pertaining to FBR, SRB, AJK and Gilgit.
- Manage and oversee the preparation of tax provisions and accruals for financial reporting purposes.
- Ensure compliance with all Income Tax Laws, regulations, and filing requirements.
- Close coordination with external tax consultants and tax lawyers.
- Prepare tax schedule and reconciliation of all taxes paid to govt for monthly and quarterly basis, to support financial reporting team for monthly, quarterly and annually reporting.
- Advising and assisting regarding tax matters to Admin, AP and Marketing department to proceed payments.
- Preparation of working and finalization payment of quarterly Advance tax under section 147.
- Engaged in preparation of AJK final Accounts.
- Review and finalization of tax payment related to dividend and bonus shares.
- Ensuring all advance tax deduction certificate collected from banks and others parties.
- Reviewing of zakat payment and its reconciliation and making payment entries in system.
- Conduct tax research and stay up-to-date on changes in income tax laws and regulations.
- Ensure that all tax-related matters are handled in a timely and efficient manner. Issuance of tax certificates to employees.
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor’s / master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Finance) / ACCA
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the life insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of income tax and sales tax laws, relevant regulations and filing
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- 2-3 years’ experience in Tax firm in supervisory position, preferably in Life Insurance Company.
