About the Role
As the Assistant Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Financial Accountant to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and assisting in key financial reporting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping, account management, and preparation of financial reports.
- Assist with payroll processing.
- Ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Supporting month-end and year-end financial close processes.
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Collaborating with internal teams to improve financial procedures.
About You
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Professional certification such as CA, CPA, or equivalent.
- 3-4 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar role; experience in aviation or transport and logistics is advantageous but not essential.
- Familiarity with accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting and related software, including Dynamics 365 Business Central-Wiise, Ex-flow, Continia, Solver, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Additionally, you will have:
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
- Strong organisational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
