The successful Management Accountant will be supporting the Group FC in in regards to maintaining corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls. The Management accountant will be participating in the preparation of local statutory accounts and corporation tax returns for the Group and its subsidiaries.

Description

The Management Accountant's main responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Preparation of monthly Management Accounts.
  • Maintenance, reconciliation and accuracy of the AP Ledger through management of the associated Finance Assistant.
  • Ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting and an up to date AR Ledger.
  • Monthly control account reconciliations, preparation, review and authorisation.
  • VAT and local sales tax compliance and reporting.
  • Enhancing budgetary control mechanisms including close liaison and development of financial awareness of non-finance Managers.
  • Provide support and analysis to Group FC, CFO and business managers in the preparation of quarterly rolling forecasts and budgets.
  • Monthly actual vs. budget/forecast review with Managers to identify trends, corrective actions where needed and feedback into the Group reporting cycle.
  • Input into the preparation of statutory accounts and Financial Statements, supporting the Group Financial Controller.

Profile

The Successful Management Accountant should be/have:

  • Education to graduate level.
  • ACCA/CIMA
  • Likely two to three years 'hands-on' experience in a commercial and ideally rapid growth environment.
  • Demonstrable ability to liaise with all levels and disciplines within and outside of Finance.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • A thorough, structured and rigorous approach to problem solving.
  • Strong financial and MS office systems knowledge.
