Who we are looking for
In this department you will be working as a VAT Consultant. This role is responsible for ensuring that a company complies with all VAT-related matters. This includes accurate VAT calculations, timely filing of returns, and overall VAT compliance to avoid legal issues and financial penalties.

• Higher education with degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related fields with an interest in accounting and taxes.
• Strong team players with good communication skills, as well as a confident and professional demeanor when dealing with colleagues and clients.
• The ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, proactivity, and high attention to detail. 
• You will also need strong analytical skills to be able to perform your tasks well.
• Open and communicative person with service-oriented approach to clients and colleagues and an ability to meet tight deadlines while applying high standards.
• Very good knowledge of MS Excel and willingness to learn how to work (or even experience) in specific accounting programs like SAP and Navision.
• Fluent in English.
• Preferred working proficiency of the German or French language.

Your future role

• Preparation of documentation related to VAT (e.g. forms for VAT registration, VAT forms, etc.) for client portfolios, under the guidance and supervision of more experienced colleagues.
• Preparation of simpler tax advice in the area of indirect taxes, including VAT, excise duties and customs duties.
• Supporting more experienced colleagues in preparing advice for clients through research and performing other preparatory activities.
• Cooperation with colleagues from other tax areas on projects that include tax reviews and in-depth recordings.
