The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing department budgets, overseeing month-end processes, accruals, and forecasting. This role requires strong proficiency in Excel, excellent networking skills with key stakeholders and the ability to support the Commercial team in various financial activities, such as annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and financial analysis for new product launches.

Our client, a Manufacturing business based in East Kent are seeking a Commercial Accountant to join them on a part time basis. They genuinely care about their workforce and pride themselves on being inclusive, supportive and true champions of a great working culture.

This position is part time (3 days per week) and offers a hybrid working pattern.

Description

Commercial Accountant responsibilities include;

  • Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of expenditures.
  • Assist with the month-end closing, preparing month-end reports, including accruals and reconciliations.
  • Prepare accruals and develop accurate forecasting models to predict future financial performance.
  • Analyse financial data via Excel, assisting in the creation of financial models, and generating relevant reports.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support their financial needs.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights for new product development and launches.
  • Participate in ad-hoc financial projects.

Profile

The successful Commercial Accountant should have/ be:

  • ACCA, CIMA qualified ideally, will consider QBE
  • Previous experience in cost accounting or financial analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Financial Modelling experieince advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
