Financial Economic Crime Risk Internship

As a DLL intern you will be immersed in the day to day experiences of working as a professional and developing skillsets relevant to your career path. You will also learn aspects of the international leasing business and have the opportunity to network with an employee base of over 5,000 members.

About the Program

During your three- month (12 week) internship program, you will get to know our people, our products, and our business through the lens of a specific department with DLL. You will get exposure to local and global projects; including, your very own project that is specific to your individual role here. We want to listen to YOUR ideas and learn from what YOU have to offer.

Some factors that will allow you to use this program to accelerate your career:

  • A comprehensive one- day onboarding program to meet all other interns, managers, and get high level understanding of structure of the internship program.
  • Lunch activities throughout the program to enable you to network with other managers within DLL and ask questions to understand all of the career paths that DLL provides
  • Opportunity to learn a professional skillset and be trained by your very own Intern Ambassador
  • One on one resume review workshop
  • End of summer presentation detailing your experience at DLL and the project you’ve invested in for the summer that is judged by a panel of DLL managers for feedback and improvement advice on your presentation skills

Day to Day

  • Assist in the onboarding of DLL customers through our Financial Economic Crimes (FEC) process. This includes performing due diligence, clearing KYC, and performing a risk assessment on our customer.
  • Assist in the Periodic Review of the relationship with an existing customer. This includes ensuring that no major changes have occurred with our customer and our risk assessment is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assist in the clearing of PEP and sanctions alerts. This includes screening our customer and all related parties to ensure we are not conducting business with any individuals or entities that the government prohibits.
  • Assist in processing incoming emails via our functional mailbox. This includes requests related to the onboarding of customers as well as general inquiries in regards to our process.
  • Identify continuous process improvement and communicate opportunities to supervisor.

  • Ability to research business operations and analyze data.
  • Organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail in high volume environment
  • Ability to succeed in a team based working environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Strong internet navigation skills
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
