About the role

As the Accounting Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing a world class accounting & tax service to our clients in Slovenia. Since this is a senior role, you will stand as pivotal team member and assist the team with complex tasks, ensuring TMF’s clients are provided with efficient, professional, and high-quality services which meet all statutory obligations.

Through work for various clients from different industries, you will have the opportunity to enrich your knowledge of financial complexities. You will get industry best practice here and be up to date with the latest accounting standards and local legislations (TMF Slovenia is ACCA approved employer).

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

• End to end bookkeeping;
• Preparation of financial statements;
• Preparation of income tax return and VAT return;
• Review and clarify general ledger;
• Preparation of reports for the National Bank of Slovenia;
• Preparation of internal reports;
• Payment transactions;
• Participation in the job training, review and coordination of the junior members of the team;
• Keeping up to date with changes in local accounting and tax legislation;

About you

The successful candidate is analytical and methodical with experience in managing end to end accounting. Possesses deep knowledge of Slovenian accounting & tax regulations coupled with exemplary people skills.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience;
• Good knowledge of local GAAP as well as the relevant local tax legislation;
• Experience in mentoring and training junior members would be preferred;
• Ability to communicate and interact well with clients, business partners and colleagues;
• Previous experience in multinational and/or service company is an advantage;
• Good computer literacy, specifically Excel and any of the ERP systems;
• Open-minded and pro-active attitude as well as problem-solving skills are essential;
• Proficiency in Slovenian and English (both spoken and written) is required
