Client Details
Our client, a key player reshaping the future of renewable energy in Asia, is seeking a hands-on Finance Director to oversee the financial operations of its multiple entities in Vietnam. The role encompasses finance and accounting management, including forecasting, cash flow oversight, tax compliance, and payment reviews, as well as investment activities and supporting M&A opportunities.
Description
Finance and Accounting
- Oversee forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management, including weekly cash flow forecasts.
- Supervise both outsourced and in-house bookkeeping, ensuring timely and accurate monthly closings.
- Review payments and financial data for consolidation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, audits, and internal controls.
Transaction Management and M&A
- Lead financial modeling and valuation for solar and infrastructure projects.
- Oversee M&A processes, including due diligence, negotiations, and transaction execution.
- Coordinate with banks, equity partners, and external consultants to secure financing and ensure smooth deal execution.
- Prepare investment committee materials and align with HQ's M&A strategy.
Tax and Compliance
- Handle VAT, WHT, corporate tax filings, and compliance for loans and offshore operations.
- Maintain strong relationships with tax authorities and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Leadership and Stakeholder Coordination
- Manage and mentor a finance team of six, fostering professional growth and high performance.
- Act as a key advisor to CEO and Head of Finance, providing actionable financial insights.
- Collaborate across legal, commercial, and operational teams to achieve strategic objectives.
Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA, CFA, or audit background preferred).
- 10+ years in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong experience in cash flow management, M&A, and transaction execution.
- Proven track record of engaging with local tax authorities.
- Expertise in renewable energy or construction industries is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting systems.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
