The current open position is in HSBC Financial Accounting team that involves period end close, accounting controls and balance sheet substantiation, IFRS, FINREP, GSIB & CE reporting
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of “ACCA Intern, Financial Accounting”.
Principal responsibilities
- This role is in FA sub-function for a region/LOB and all legal entities within that region/LOB. The end-to-end process will include:
(a) Perform accounting events such as manual journals, which are key to the ledger close, provide robust accounting and business insight into TB analysis, exception management and book closure
(b) Perform monthly and quarterly GRCA/FINREP reporting in Saracen and manual returns, produce commentaries for balance sheet and P&L.
What additional skills will be good to have? (List out good to have skills and certifications)
Pursuing/completed ACCA Prior experience in Reporting profiles is a must and exposure in month end close will be preferred. Strong knowledge of Site Reporting at Financial Institutions will be a must. Excellent communication skills, including experience of explaining complex technical matters simply Strong Excel skills
Duration of Internship: 36 months
