Post Joining Training (30 days) & Focussed on the Job Training (60 days), FPA / BI resource is expected to handle clients - 1 client to start with and gradually scaling up to handle 5-6.
Understanding the Client's Business - Training for 10 days
Industry Analysis: Research the industry in which the SME operates to understand market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.
Business Model: Gain a thorough understanding of the client's business model, revenue streams, cost structure, and key value drivers.
Financial Data Collection and Review - Training for 30 Days
Historical Financials: Collect and review the client's historical financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Data Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data by reconciling discrepancies and validating sources.
Setting Up Financial Models - Templated and Ready for you to plug the numbers - Training for 7 days
Budgeting and Forecasting Models: Develop initial budgeting and forecasting models tailored to the client's business needs.
Scenario Analysis: Create models to perform scenario analysis, helping the client understand potential financial outcomes under different conditions.
Identifying Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - We work together to bring out your Business Intelligence / Business Critical Thinking
KPI Selection: Identify and define relevant KPIs that align with the client's strategic goals and operational priorities.
Dashboard Setup: Set up dashboards to track and report on these KPIs, providing clear and actionable insights.
Stakeholder Engagement - Handholding for 3 months - you just have to observe how the meeting happens and jump in - when you are ready with head high and confidence blazing!
Initial Meetings: Conduct meetings with key stakeholders, including management and department heads, to gather insights and align on expectations.
Communication Plan: Develop a communication plan to ensure regular updates and feedback loops with the client throughout the engagement.
Additional Tasks - Based on the Scope and your Interests / Activity Based Curiosity # Any 2 or 3 - maximum.
Budgeting: Assisting in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Forecasting: Developing financial forecasts based on historical data and market trends.
Variance Analysis: Comparing actual financial performance against budgeted figures to identify discrepancies and their causes.
Financial Reporting: Preparing regular financial reports for management, highlighting key insights and trends.
Data Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
Financial Modeling: Building and maintaining financial models to support decision-making processes.
Scenario Planning: Creating various financial scenarios to assess potential outcomes and risks.
Cost Analysis: Evaluating costs and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Revenue Analysis: Analyzing revenue streams to understand performance and identify growth opportunities.
Capital Planning: Assisting in the planning and allocation of capital expenditures.
Strategic Planning: Supporting long-term strategic planning efforts with financial insights and analysis.
Investment Analysis: Evaluating potential investment opportunities and their financial impact.
Cash Flow Analysis: Monitoring and analyzing cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
Expense Management: Tracking and managing expenses to ensure they stay within budget.
KPI Reporting: Developing and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial performance.
Ad Hoc Analysis: Conducting special financial analyses as requested by management.
Risk Management: Identifying and assessing financial risks and developing mitigation strategies.
Collaboration: Working closely with other departments to gather data, provide financial insights, and support decision-making.
What are we looking for in the candidate #
1. Strong Financial Acumen - simple - be clear about debit and credit!!!!
2. Technical Proficiency - these days - nothing moves without technology - we are not talking about NASA here - we are just comfortable with your Excel, powerpoint & Tally Basics - if not, let's work together to make you better!
3. Business Acumen - in alternate words - we also call this common sense!
4. Communication Skills - if I understand what you are conveying in the way you want me to (!!!), I guess this is all about that!
5. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills - either we create the problem and solve (he he) else will solve client's problems! We solve! Think Hatke!
