Join us as a Treasury Risk Manager
  • This is a prominent role that will see you maintaining and developing a strong second line of defence across Group Treasury
  • With your knowledge and experience, you'll be supporting senior colleagues in understanding, overseeing and challenging the Group's key prudential risks
  • You can build on your existing knowledge of risk, and advance your career in this exciting, fast paced role
What you'll do

As a Treasury Risk Manager, you'll be making sure that the Group's activities comply with our risk appetite and risk management standards. You'll develop and deliver a suite of risk metrics, ensuring these can effectively capture the funding and liquidity risk which Treasury manages, while assessing, analysing and reporting on prudential risks for internal and regulatory purposes.

As well as this, you'll be
  • Managing the engagement with the central Risk functions to understand their requirements and strategic developments
  • Keeping up to date with the regulatory environment in which we operate and helping to assess or implement the changes in our risk management framework
  • Maintaining, documenting and monitoring the organisation's policies and approach for your area of risk
  • Working in partnership with other members of the team to review and perform calculations and provide analysis and commentary to present to stakeholders
  • Supporting the oversight of key annual workstreams including ICAAP, Bank of England stress testing, recovery plan, resolution planning and budget
  • Producing the monthly risk reporting pack, liaising with finance teams to understand changes to our financials, which could impact risk appetite metrics
The skills you'll need

We're looking for strong and relevant financial experience, gained from working in a risk or finance function. A financial or risk qualification such as a CFA, FIA or FRM is desirable for this role, and you'll be educated to degree level in a numerate subject with a good understanding of financial mathematics.

You'll also demonstrate:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to form reasoned judgements from limited information, sometimes at pace
  • An understanding of capital risk stress testing such as ICAAP, RRP and the wider regulatory agenda
  • Good people and relationship management skills, with the confidence and credibility to challenge constructively at all seniority levels
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • It would be desirable to have strong excel skills as well as an understanding of stress testing, ICAAP, RRP and the wider regulatory agenda
