Description
As the Head of Finance you will report to the Finance Director, and will directly lead, manage and develop a team of 5 (Management Accountants and Finance Business Partners)
You will be required to:
- Provide leadership to the finance team, ensuring smooth operations and accurate financial reporting.
- Deliver information required by Head office and the private equity business efficiently and accurately.
- Take overall responsibility for the production of monthly, quarterly and period accounts
- Manage the P&L and Balance sheet carefully
- Pay close attention to cash flow
- Undertake commercial analysis in relation to variance analysis, providing insightful, commercial commentary
- Report numbers to the Finance Director, Divisional Managing Director and Group Head office
- Play a key role in budget planning, financial forecasting and risk management.
- Drive process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and improve decision making
- Report on operational KPIs and provide management information.
Profile
The successful Head of Finance should have:
- Strong all round accountancy skills, particularly in managing the management accounts, P&L and Balance Sheet
- Be able to pull together all numbers to a tight timetable, and deal with ad hoc requests
- The ability to create powerful, insightful analysis and commentary
- A background of dealing with Private equity or Venture Capital owners would be advantageous
- You must be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
This role is office based 5 days per week, so you must be comfortable with this.
