Job Description
Our SMSF Specialist Team supports clients managing their compliance and advisory in relation to their Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF’s). We are a national team with deep experience in administration, compliance, and strategic legislative advice in relation to all rules and regulations that apply to SMSF’s. We continue to look ahead and collaborate with the other service lines in the business to support clients in their continually business success and growth. We are equipped to decisively deliver new ways of thinking, big-picture perspectives, and acute insights that help clients make informed.
Your Opportunity
With continued growth, we are now looking to recruit an Assistant Manager to join our SMSF Specialist Team in Melbourne.
- You will be responsible for the workflow management of a specific SMSF portfolio.
- Manage and review the compliance work file, reporting deliverables, and audit outcomes on each fund within your portfolio.
- Proactively liaise with clients, external auditors, ATO, and internal stakeholders so as ensure exceptional outcomes and quality of work.
- Provision of technical advice to clients in relation to the application of the superannuation and taxation rules.
- Further develop your technical expertise working across services including tax and accounting compliance and business/tax advisory work for middle market clients
- Ability to assist in both internal training and client events around SMSF topics of interest.
- Effective management of billing and internal risk procedures.
- Develop into a mentor to assist other less experienced team members and encourage their continued professional development

Qualifications

- Prior SMSF experience in a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm.
- CA or CPA qualified.
- Strong collaborative skills, a dedicated work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
- Class Super experience is desired.
