Position: Senior Manager Finance
Reporting to: Financial Controller
Division: Corporate Finance Services Division - CFS
Location: City Office- Karachi
Job Summary:
The senior manager finance will oversee the financial and management reporting and tax functions of the affiliate. The incumbent will serve as the subject matter expert on financial policies for the entire affiliate and will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations of the internal controls over financial reporting.
Major Responsibilities:
- Review and finalization of US GAAP to IFRS adjustments
- Preparation of quarterly, half-yearly, and annual statutory accounts in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs)
- Serving as the main coordinator for external and tax audits
- Preparation of commentary for Balance sheet and reporting to Chicago on a monthly basis
- Review of Income Tax Return and dealing with Tax Consultants and Taxation Authorities
- Preparation of hard and soft close for Tax in Longview
- Review of Income tax workings
- Finalization of monthly accruals in coordination with different departments
- Review of all JVs booked by the GL team
- Preparation of Commentary, Ratios & Analysis for Board
- Review of Audit Committee presentation and analysis
- Preparation of Entity Plan for presentation in the Board
- Review of accounts reconciliations pertaining to Accounting & Tax team
- Tax reporting on a monthly and ad-hoc basis
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and its related controls
- Assistance to Company Secretary on different secretarial compliance matters
- Preparation of Annual Report for the Company
Education/Knowledge & Experience:
- Chartered Accountant with post-qualification tax experience of 1-2 years
- Should have sound knowledge of IFRS, tax laws and the Companies Act
- Familiarity with Corporate Finance functions will be an added advantage
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
