The opportunity
Having the largest geographical footprint in the MENA region, EY is perfectly placed to help the multitude of government entities, private entities and businesses change their accounting standards to the latest IFRS standards as well as internal control over financial reporting (ICFR) implementation and corporate governance framework development. We’re looking for ambitious people to help drive and support this change while learning about the intricacies of dealing with diverse clients in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
Your key responsibilities
You'll make a technical contribution to clients in a lead role in both financial and non- financial service all sectors across MENA. You will plan, manage and participate in various engagements (ICFR implementation, researching application of accounting standards to various transactions, assessing financial and governance processes frameworks, assisting with accounting framework transitions, comparison of different benchmarking with different company practices, developing and providing tailored training etc.) Responsible for preparing deliverables tailored to client requirements. Establish and maintain relationships with client management whilst understanding the client’s industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends and new technical and industry developments.
With a clear focus on anticipating and identifying risks, you'll escalate issues as appropriate. Working closely with colleagues, you'll determine whether the work plan is properly executed, documented and concluded in compliance with our Quality & Risk Management (Q&RM) guidelines. As an influential member of the team, you'll help to create a positive learning culture, will coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.

To qualify for this role, you must have
- Flawless communication skills in English & and preferably Arabic as well
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc)
- Experience of managing teams and working on approximately 2+ engagements simultaneously
- Demonstrate team mentoring skills
- Possess experience in the areas of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICOFR)ICFR, Corporate Governance, Board Support
- Ability to lead a team and submit deliverables in line with the agreed scope of work and clients requirements
- Bachelors in Accounting/Finance
- Must posses relevant and valid qualifications such as CIA, ACCA, CRMA, GRCP, GRCA
- At least 4 years within a Big 4 environment
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Proficiency in the Arabic language
