Position: Finance & Controlling Management Trainee (Full-Time)

The Finance & Controlling Management Trainee role is established to develop high-potential talent for future leadership positions. You will be hired in Tokyo and have an opportunity of overseas assignment (for example by joining our Guest Auditor Programme). In this exciting position, you will report to the Japan Finance Manager and become a full-time member of the local Finance team. You will have the opportunity to acquire all essential knowledge and hands-on experience to expand your career in Finance.

Some of your responsibilities within the Japan Finance Team will include:

  • Support the preparation of Financial reporting and controlling, including Group and Statutory reporting
  • Participate in month-end closing activities
  • Prepare Tax reporting and analysis
  • Support managerial accounting (product costing, budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis)
  • Undertake government and regulatory reporting: preparation VAT, WHT, and Corporate Income Tax Filling
  • Assist in checking compliance with internal procedures and controls
  • Support in troubleshooting related to General Accounting
  • Support for audit activities (external and internal)
  • Collaborate and business partner with shared services, the regional finance team, and local cross-functional team
  • Participate in finance-related projects as assigned (for example - but not limited - to BAPA, Continuous Improvement, etc.)

Your professional profile includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent certification)
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting or tax accounting
  • Sound understanding of Japanese Accounting Standards
  • Exposure to IFRS and SAP software are a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
  • Good communication skills, highly curious, and like to try new things
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Japanese Language (Native) / English (Business Level)
  • Travel mobility between Givaudan affiliate sites for assigned projects
  • Interest to relocate for overseas assignments

Expected salary range: JPY 5,600,000~10,440,000 

Salary will be determined according to your experience and the company regulations
