Job Description
- You will have the responsibility for the financial control and reporting of our growing Funds business in Guernsey, ensuring that the underlying Financial Operations are run in a controlled, timely, efficient and cost-effective manner.
- You will support the Head of Finance in the development and maintenance of annual budgets and periodic forecasts in accordance with Group timetable.
- You will deliver accurate and timely information as required, ensuring that the financial performance of the business area is measured against budgets and forecasts.
- You will manage cash in line with Group policy, whilst ensuring local regulatory capital requirements are met.
- Working with the credit controller, you will drive the collection of debt and protect from revenue leakage.
- You will execute monthly management accounts in agreed format and in accordance with Group timetable including both financial, non-financial and KPI data as required.
- In conjunction with the Head of Finance, you will provide proactive support to the Fund Directors to ensure that there is a full and complete understanding of the financial performance of their business activities against agreed budgets and targets, risks are targeted and opportunities for profit improvement are identified.
Qualifications
- Professionally qualified accountant with Financial Conroller experience/Knowledge and experience of the financial services industry, ideally from a funds business
- Ability to deliver on tight monthly reporting timescales and to a high degree of accuracy
- Strong EXCEL and computer skills
- Knowledge of NetSuite desired
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Excellent communications kills, influencing and stakeholder management skills
