Our client seeks a Financial Controller to join their team. 

You must be willing to relocate to the Isle of Man to apply.


Role Profile 
This role leads and oversees the day-to-day activities of the Finance department to ensure the companies finance functions are efficient and operating to tight monthly deadlines, while focusing on continuous improvement of the finance function. 
  
As Financial Controller, you will undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget, and forecast preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. 
  
Key Responsibilities
Deliver a high standard of accounting service and generate measured deliverables.
Identify and implement continuous improvement projects of accounting and financial reporting processes with the goal to achieve best practices and optimal output.
Ensure the timely preparation of weekly management accounts and reporting of all weekly and monthly financial information.
Ensure the monthly balance sheet reconciliations are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year end close.
Management and delivery of the key KPI information for the managing director on a weekly basis and for the board of directors as and when required.
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the Product costing and associated product margins.
Ensure that effective financial control processes are in place.
Where appropriate assist in re-engineering accounting processes, put in place controls and reporting to help minimise financial reporting errors.
Create a good working relationship with other departments to ensure their reporting needs are met.
 
Key Skills & Experience
Qualified Accountant with a minimum of seven years PQE.
Strong technical background with financial accounting experience.
Strong financial process and system's experience.
High level of numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Trustworthy to work on confidential and sensitive matters with the utmost discretion.
FMCG experience.
ERP System Experience.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
5+ years of experience in a senior financial managerial position would be desirable.
