Financial Regulatory Interpretation Professional
Summary:
- The Financial Risk Regulatory Oversight (FRRO) team is looking to bring on an experienced Regulatory Interpretation consultant.
- The successful candidate will have a strong familiarity with highly complex financial risk regulations, such as RWA, SCCL, and FRTB.
- This individual will be instrumental in the review, interpretation, and dissemination of current and proposed laws and regulations.
Major Duties:
- Reviews and challenges financial risk regulatory interpretations and practices to ensure that activities meet federal, state and/or local legal and regulatory requirements
- Serves as a second line of defense on financial risk regulations
- Ensures compliance by coordinating regulatory and practice issue remediation activities for the Financial Risk Management department and updating departmental policies and procedures as needed.
- Manages regulatory projects, including developing and executing plans
- Coordinates policy, procedure, and standard updates
- Interacts with regulators, internal and external auditors on regulatory topics
- Attends key committees and supports credit risk governance activities through agendas and minutes
Knowledge/Experience:
- 3 or more years of risk management or compliance experience in financial services, ideally in areas of financial risk (credit, liquidity, or market risk)
- The ideal candidate will have a strong familiarity with highly complex financial risk regulations, such as RWA, SCCL, and FRTB.
- Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills are critical to consult with partners/clients, analyze information, and apply regulations
- Strong project management skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and possess an ability to understand and explain complex regulatory language.
- Strong MS Word and PowerPoint skills, with proficiency in Excel.
