The company is looking for a Head of Purchasing to manage procurement strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and alignment with production and sales forecasts. This role involves supplier negotiations, inventory optimization, and ensuring procurement processes are efficient and compliant with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Facilitate supplier negotiations to secure the best rates and favorable credit terms.
• Identify and recommend sustainable, cost-effective packaging solutions to support the sales team.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.
• Regularly review Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs), reorder levels, and lead times based on sales forecasts.
• Ensure inventory aligns with production requirements and minimizes waste.
Ensure all Purchase Requisitions (PRs) are approved before generating Purchase Orders (POs) for packing materials.
• Maintain a systematic approach to procurement to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Continuously explore opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality and sustainability.
• Provide insights to improve procurement efficiency and support company profitability goals.
Work closely with the sales, production, and finance teams to align procurement strategies with organizational objectives.
• Ensure timely availability of packing materials to meet production and export deadlines.
Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in manufacturing or export-oriented industries.
• Ideally between the age of 35 – 50 years.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of sustainable sourcing and packaging trends.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
