Summary:- The Accountant is responsible for managing the day-to-day US GAAP accounting and all Statutory and Tax compliance matters in collaboration with BBS KL.
- The role requires understanding of complex accounting matters, quick problem-solving skills, and strong collaboration with other finance and non-finance teams.
- Assist and support the accounting operations in BBS KL.
- Support monthly/quarterly/annual close processes, TB review, and support PL review with the FP&A team.
- Review balance sheet account reconciliation and monitor BBS KL follow-up actions.
- Collaborate with BBS KL tax team for statutory audit preparation and collaborate with the auditor for both US GAAP and local stat audits.
- Support tax compliance (corporate tax and VAT) with assistance from BBS KL.
- Support tax audits and project manage the audits with assistance from BBS KL.
- Support in providing documentation for Tax Direct and Indirect Tax litigation.
- Ensure adherence to company's policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements, and local rules and regulations; support strengthening of financial processes and controls.
- Collaborate effectively with collaborators from different countries and various global partners including BBS KL.
- Support local, regional, and global projects, as required.
- Maintain focus on continuous process improvement opportunities including implementation of various technologies.
- Support company secretarial work.
- Support and collaborate with the Treasury team for Inter-company loan.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience in a multinational environment and/or audit.
- Good knowledge of US GAAP.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, diplomatic, flexible, and “can do” mind-set.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Strong reporting tools including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
