Pay Range: $97,211 - $129,595 per annum.

General Accountability
The successful candidate is responsible for oversight of the Finance Technology Analysts and the day-to-day functionality of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technology as well as other insurance technology, such as Guidewire, legacy applications used in Finance and the ongoing maintenance, testing, evaluation and usability of the platforms. Supports the continual advancement and evolution of the Enterprise Resource Planning platform by integrating a review cycle and improvement process. Liaises with key business partners to seek opportunities to utilize technology to support key business processes and inform data-driven decisions through process changes, reports, insights, etc. Ensures adherence to processes and accountabilities as defined by the strategy and target operating model. Reports and presents recommendations on business improvement outcomes.
Key Accountabilities

Finance Systems Management (40%)
- Leads the team ensuring day to day system support is balanced with strategic enhancements and projects.
- Leads the continuous evolvement of ERP modules, other Finance systems and technology, Guidewire BillingCenter module including integrations between Guidewire and PeopleSoft, functionality enhancements to optimize performance and usability.
- Drives the deployment of feature releases and system maintenance, ensuring requirements are met as well as ensuring SGI is leveraging the capability of the software.
- In conjunction with Systems teams, evaluates feasibility of system modifications and enhancements.
- Identifies risks or opportunities and recommends process changes to improve the delivery of Finance services to the organization.
- Oversees the integration and function of finance technology with other business software.
- Continues to develop and evolve established process and structure for consistent and documented approach for tracking and approving issue management and system enhancement/workflow changes.
- Ensures up-to-date documentation of system functions, processes, and capabilities.
- Oversees test plans and executions; approves changes that are ready for implementation.
- Reviews change requests and brings Finance team together to discuss and plan for cross-functional impacts.
- Oversees ERP fixes and ensures there are no impacts to delivery of services.
Enterprise Resource Planning Governance Strategy & Execution (20%)
- Creates the governance process used to triage project intake requests related to work performed on finance software and work performed by Finance Technology Analysts and ensures adherence to this process.
- Leads the governance process, road mapping exercises and cross-functional resource planning in support of the Finance Target Operating Model.
- Ensures the requirements for the governance process (terms of reference, roles and responsibilities) and governance model is actively managed.
- Supports the development, implementation and refinement of the Finance Technology Strategy.
- Ensures the security assignment of roles standards are applied, monitored, and adjusted; ensuring regular security and audit reviews are performed and approves the creation, modification and removal of roles and users.
- Ensure standards of system change management protocols are consistently documented and leveraged to resolve complex system problems.
- Recommends complex corporate deployments and advancements to enhance/expand Finance technology business outcomes through the governance process.
Data and Analytics (20%)
- Leads the evolution of finance analytics including data visualization, metrics and reporting to create data-driven tools and resources that guide decision making.
- Creates strategies for integrating Finance data, metrics and reporting to identify actionable insights.
- Collaborates with Data Office to promote corporate wide integration opportunities to leverage finance data; integrate financial data with operational data to identify trends, provide insights and make predictive or prescriptive recommendations.
- Works closely with Data Office in informing and supporting SGI data policies and reporting standards.
- Leads the development and advancement of reporting and analytics that supports Finance program and business decisions and advances the Finance Target Operating Model.
People Leadership (10%)

Corporate Management (10%)
- Ensures programs and policies are in alignment with corporate, strategic and divisional strategies.

- Prepares decision requests, decision and/or information items and/or SGI board items.
- Ensures that the Health, Safety and Emergency Management Policy is applied in area of responsibility, including development, implementation and managing of program components specific to departmental health and safety requirements.
- Makes decisions for departmental operations that are efficient, effective and in alignment with strategic direction and priorities.
- Ensures department and program policies, procedures and guidelines are in compliance with applicable federal and provincial legislation and regulations; implements and evaluates changes to legislation and regulations in area of authority.
- Establishes and maintains an effective system of internal controls to support reliable financial reporting and compliance in accordance with applicable laws and regulations within the span of control, and communicates the importance of internal controls to staff.
Education and Experience
A four-year degree from an accredited post-secondary education institution in relevant field of study such as Business.
Eight years’ experience comprised of four years leadership and four years’ experience in accounting or finance management supplemented with experience in software support and data.
