SGI is seeking a Risk Specialist (RS) to support the growth and continuous improvement of our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program, Operational and Regulatory Compliance initiatives, Corporate Insurance program, and risk management practices. This role is integral in fostering a risk-aware culture and aligning risk management processes with strategic objectives. Are a detail-oriented problem solver with strong analytical skills and the ability to simplify complex information and make informed recommendations. Have exceptional communication skills, including the ability to create concise, high-impact reports and presentations. Enjoy collaborating across teams to implement best practices in risk management. Are passionate about fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and responsible risk-taking. Typically, these skills are gained through: A four-year degree in insurance, risk management, or business. A professional designation like Canadian Risk Management (CRM), Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Certification on Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). Six (6) years of experience in risk management within the financial industry. But don’t worry about checking every box!
