Role/ Department:
The role is within Depositary Operations helping to ensure that Northern Trust fulfils its oversight responsibilities under the Alternative Investment Fund Management Directive (AIFMD), UCITS V and other regulatory requirements.
The primary responsibilities will be in the area of Depositary Operations.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Interpret information from Investment Managers to gain understanding of an Alternative investment;
- Coordinate sourcing executed documentation & validate documentation and information;
- Perform and review Asset Verification activities, sourcing appropriate documentation to verify ownership of the Fund over “Other Assets”;
- Support the team by actioning various daily processes & team mailbox maintenance;
- Participate on meetings with relevant internal and external parties;
- Ability to suggest improvements on processes;
- Participating in ensuring governance procedures are being adhered to;
- Gathering data for reporting requirements for both internal and external clients.
Skills/ Qualifications:
- Good understanding of the Funds Industry a requirement;
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal and external parties;
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment;
- Good problem solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office.
