The Opportunity

This position works out of our Lake Forest IL location in the Core Diagnostics Division.

Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments, and informatics systems is often the first step in patient care decision-making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.

What You’ll Work On

The Core Diagnostics (Dx) DHQ Center of Excellence is a best-in-class FP&A organization that drives standardization and efficiencies across ADD, provides insightful and value-added analytics, and serves as a talent pipeline into the division. The Center of Excellence is responsible for the preparation and analytical review of cost center budgets and other standard financial reports, spanning across the organization for LBE's and confirmations. Analytical review includes understanding of the key causals that drive change versus multiple benchmarks. On-going process initiatives are also required to improve and strengthen financial processes, procedures, and systems supporting these areas of responsibility.

Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage at least one direct report, ensuring appropriate development of staff
  • Direct communication and relationship with Core Diagnostics Division President and Controller
  • Preparation and Consolidation of monthly reporting packages for senior management and Corporate
  • Preparation and Consolidation of LBE and Plan reporting packages
  • Preparation and Consolidation of Board of Director meeting financial packages
  • Prepare commentary based on understanding of the business and key drivers of results
  • Ensure all deadlines are met with accurate schedules and on time submissions to appropriate organizations
  • Interaction with multiple levels of management, both finance and operational
  • Partner with the US Commercial team to oversee maintenance of the ADD Chargeback Reserve, including but not limited to: calculating and recording monthly journal entries, reconciling monthly Chargeback files and resolving any discrepancies, ensuring payments are made on a timely basis, and ensuring Chargeback systems are properly maintained
  • Financial modeling with extensive use of Excel
  • Other activities including assisting other Core Dx Finance groups with forecast system loading, ad hoc reporting, identification and implementation of process improvements and other special projects as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years finance experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required

The base pay for this position is $83,000.00 – $166,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
