Accounting and Finance Manager

We are looking for a Accounting and Finance Manager who will be responsible for incountry processes related to financial reporting (internal and external), customer invoicing and collections, cash management and cash flow forecasting, tax compliance, external audit etc for our business partner, global oil and gas company.

Description

• Collaborate with the Regional Finance Controller to establish accounting and cash management systems.
• Implement financial processes, ensuring internal controls align with company policies.
• Select and implement an accounting system for Turkey and group reporting requirements.
• Manage monthly account closings and submit the General Ledger in compliance with reporting standards.
• Submit Turkish GAAP accounts to regulatory authorities as required.
• Oversee balance sheet management, intercompany transactions, and inventory valuation.
• Ensure accounting documentation meets Turkey statutory requirements.
• Prepare and report revenue accruals based on operational information.
• Monitor and manage customer collections, DSO, and invoicing issues.
• Coordinate with vendors and operations for timely invoice processing and payments.
• Plan and forecast cash flows, ensuring liquidity and managing CAPEX spending.
• Ensure timely tax compliance for CIT, WHT, and VAT, and liaise with Turkish tax authorities.
• Manage statutory audits, coordinating with auditors to ensure timely completion

Profile

• Bachelor's or similar educational background in accounting or finance with a 8-13 years experience
• Knowledge of Turkey GAAP and IFRS
• Experience in implementing new accounting system
• Knowledge of Turkish tax regulations and compliance procedures
• Good knowledge of Turkish and English languages both spoken and written * The Manager reports directly to the Regional Finance Controller - Asia Pacific (incl Turkey and Kazakhstan)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience with SME accounting systems
• Demonstrated ability to work in a complex and fast paced environment
• Knowledge in oil and gas business is a bonus
• Thorough grasp of all OMS standards, processes and procedures
• Act as a leader
