In Tax, we equip clients to make better business decisions by bringing insights to the forefront. We help companies understand the tax policies and tax laws of governments around the world to plan and comply accordingly.
Our teams leverage transformative technologies to deliver strategy and execution, from tax and regulatory obligations to operations and workforce management, to reduce risk and drive sustainable value. Tax has six sub-service lines which cover a wide range of issues: Business Tax Services, Global Compliance and Reporting, Global Law, Indirect Tax, International Tax and Transaction Services and People Advisory Services.
Are you committed, thorough and outgoing? Do you have a good understanding of business, transactions and experience of international tax? Would you like to work in a dynamic, fast-moving and commercially driven environment within an integrated global network? If so, please read on.
The opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Tax professional to join an established and growing team in a booming market. As a Transaction Tax Senior Manager, you will support and advise the most strategic organisations and transactions in the market, helping clients identify, manage and mitigate risk. Your deep technical knowledge combined with sharp commercial experience will drive value across the transaction lifecycle, from private equity, venture capital, corporate M&A to the capital markets and beyond. You will be actively involved in the technical development and delivery of ideas to enhance opportunity and negotiate effectively. With an influx of foreign investment, an ever-increasing business-friendly environment, access to capital and local organisations expanding their outbound activities, you can develop your career through involvement in some of the biggest and most prominent transactions in the market. Our business is experiencing generational growth – now is the time to join.
Your key responsibilities
Lead the successful delivery of transactions, guiding and mentoring team members along the way. Pursue, develop and convert new business opportunities, paving the way for personal and business growth. Contribute to building and maintaining client relationships by delivering exceptional client service in collaboration with a global team of transaction specialists.
Maintain and continually enhance your technical capabilities, staying at the cutting edge of the latest developments and bringing forth ideas to support our clients. You will be building strong internal relationships within the regional and global network. You will also assist with the development of more junior staff through coaching, delegation and on the job training.
You will work as part of a multi-jurisdictional / disciplinary team within tax and across other service lines in terms of pursuing and delivering engagements. In doing so, you will manage engagement economics through accurate and thorough budgeting, communication and tracking.
You will take a central role in the enhancement of our operating model, joining us on a journey of continuous improvement, refinement and best-in-class delivery.
You will role model behaviour that exemplifies personal and professional wellbeing in all aspects, driving a healthy and attractive business environment.
Skills and attributes for success
If you are client driven, strategically and commercially astute, an excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral, technically strong, enthusiastic with a flexible attitude to work, a strong motivator and interested in developing a career in transaction tax, you will be perfect for the role.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor's Degree in Tax, Economics, Accounting, Finance or a related field, an approved professional qualification or equivalent (e.g. ADIT / ATT / ACCA / CPA / ACA / CA / LLB or MBA, or MA, MSc or PhD in Tax, Economics, Accounting or Finance).
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant Tax experience, in either business or industry, with the majority focused on transactions.
- Strong organisational, project delivery, analytical and verbal/written communication skills.
- Proven track record with a leading professional services firm.
- Experience of delivering on transaction tax projects and on the job coaching of more junior team members.
- Initiative-taking, pro-active and eager to contribute effectively to a leading tax practice.
Ideally, you will also have

- Continuous learning: You’ll develop the mindset and skills to navigate whatever comes next.
- Success as defined by you: We’ll provide the tools and flexibility, so you can make a meaningful impact, your way.
