Working as an Assistant Management Accountant for a Bank in London. The ideal candidate is actively studying their ACCA/ CIMA qualification and has Financial Services experience (please still apply if you do not have Financial Services experience).

Description
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing.
- Prepare and own the monthly Broker Statements production.
- Actively support the preparation of Management Information pack.
- Multicurrency cash management
- Support the Finance Manager and wider team in the implementation of controls' best practises.
- Maintenance of accounting schedules, including, Prepayments, Accruals and Fixed Asset Register. Monthly posting and reconciliation.
- Review, document and enhance financial, accounting and control procedures.
- Maintaining oversight of all Group Companies' ledgers and associated systems to ensure ongoing integrity and security of data.
- Preparation and posting of recurring and ad-hoc journals.
- Assist with the preparation of tax reports and filing, including VAT (UK and UAE).
- Liaising with overseas office, managing periodic intercompany reconciliation.
- Support the wider team on Regulators' requests and Financial Audits.
- Other ad hoc requests as required by the business.
- Help in the standardisation of process and routines.
Profile
- Actively studying ACCA/CIMA, with desirable 3+ years of experience.
- Ideally from a Financial Services background (please still apply if not) .
- Ability to hit the ground running, work autonomously and proactively.
- Able to work on own initiative and to agreed targets by prioritising and planning.
- Be an active member of the team and able to assist other team members and wider team.
- Advanced Excel knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to produce high quality and accurate documentation.
- A very keen eye for detail
- An eagerness to grow with the business within the finance function.
