Job Description & Summary
A career in our Financial Services Tax practice, within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You’ll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals.
Our team helps our Financial Services clients navigate the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment related to stringent capital requirements, management of operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions. You’ll help our clients with their tax structuring while helping to address the challenges of the continuously changing tax world, both locally and globally.

What you’ll do

As we solve both local and international tax challenges for our clients you will have the opportunity to expand your local tax knowledge whilst also learning from the specialised skills of over 20,000 tax practitioners in the global PwC network, this enabling you to provide comprehensive tax solutions for individuals and businesses amidst a rapidly changing global tax landscape.
Our services span all aspects of tax problem-solving, including tax compliance, serving a diverse clientele, including multinationals, UK companies, private enterprises, and individuals; we deliver tailored solutions combining industry insight with technical expertise. As a leading voice in tax policy discussions, staying at the forefront of trends and regulations.
You will also have a number of opportunities to work with other lines of service within the business, assisting in the reviews of tax aspects for assurance purposes, or working with our advisory colleagues to provide tax input into matters such as regulatory reviews, liquidations or data systems, ensuring seamless delivery for clients from one PwC team.
During our three year programme you will also study for a relevant qualification such as a Chartered Accounting Qualification or Chartered Tax exams. There are a number of different qualification routes which we can explore with you. You’ll have a lot of support from your team, career coach and buddy to help you achieve this as well as appointed learning and development representatives. It’s the variety and opportunity we offer that allows you to develop a broad range of effective business skills and enables our people to excel across the breadth of work we offer, both on the training schemes and further on in your career.
When not studying, you will have the opportunity to work in the offices, as well as attending client meetings, including those off island as needed. You will also be encouraged to attend suitable industry events to further develop your knowledge and expand both your personal and business network.
We seek to ensure that opportunities for learning continue throughout your career and as such there may be opportunities for travel to partake in global PwC tax academies.
Who is this vacancy for and what you’ll need
It doesn't matter who you are or what your schooling background is. As you'll no doubt have gathered by now, we believe diversity is our strength.
You'll need to have achieved or be on course to achieve a 2.1 result in your degree, from any University. Your degree can be in any subject.
Do you need a Work Permit?
Due to immigration restrictions in Jersey and Guernsey the Channel Islands firm is unable to consider trainee candidates who require work permits.
