An opportunity has arisen for a diligent and detail-oriented Financial Business Partner (FBP) to join an esteemed transport and distribution team. The role is based in London and will encompass a wide array of accounting and finance tasks.

Description
Business Growth & Commercial Leadership: Support the growth of business units by implementing new processes and controls, challenging existing practices, and providing commercial guidance to senior stakeholders.
Management Accounting: Lead period-end tasks, ensuring accuracy of financial data, conducting variance analysis, and preparing detailed commentary. Highlight and report risks and opportunities.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the preparation of budgets and forecasts, contributing to financial models and supporting variance analysis and planning narratives.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal teams and shared services, resolving queries, and providing financial support.
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Develop insightful reporting and analysis to facilitate effective decision-making.
Year-End Activities: Contribute to year-end accounting processes, support audits, and ensure compliance with deadlines.
Business Case Support: Manage financial aspects of business cases, from initiation to post-investment review.
Risk & Opportunity Management: Collaborate with senior finance teams to assess business risks, opportunities, and sensitivities, ensuring consistency across finance functions.
Profile
A successful FBP should have:
- Qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with all levels of the organisation.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
