Management Accountant

This is a newly created role and there is scope for progression into FC. The role will have one direct report from day one. It is a varied role with management accounts, statutory accounts, financial analysis and reporting, and some commercial exposure.

Description

• Producing management accounts
• Reconciling and reviewing the balance sheet
• Preparing reporting packs
• Working alongside Finance Business Partners to review costs and analyse financial data to explain variances from budget or forecast
• Ensuring tight financial controls
• Identifying and making recommendations for improvements (relating to controls and the system)
• Managing one person in the finance team

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

• ACA or ACCA or CIMA qualification
• Relevant experience either in audit or industry; our client is open to considering candidates who are first-time movers from practice
• Excited by the prospect of working in a fast-paced business
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Technical competence
