The Client Implementations Business Analyst II performs project planning, requirement analysis, workflow design, test planning and execution in support of on-boarding internal and external clients to Infomediary Data Solutions suite of products. The individual operates as a key spokesperson for clients to manage their expectations during the projects to ensure appropriate communication and follow through of project activities. S/he makes decisions on client-related technology development and management activities and ensures the correct business functionality, requirements, and industry standards are addressed with proposed solutions. 

Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Participate in and contribute to internal and/or external client workshops/meetings to gather, understand and document client’s project goals, workflows, complex business needs, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Describe the client business need/problem statement and potential solution in terms that both business and technical teams can understand.
  • Ensure that all participants understand the objectives of the project and work together toward a common goal.
  • Work with the client to understand the business need and gather data to document requirements that meet the project scope.
  • Support the creation of a design solution that satisfies the client need, aligns with the project scope, and meets the goals and objectives.
  • Perform detailed analysis to support client workflow, client configuration set up, mapping specifications, data gathering.
  • Maintain issue log; coordinate and support communications surrounding all aspects of assigned projects.
  • Lead the client through all project materials, present the solution and review client specifications to obtain client sign off.
  • Ensure methodology is followed for project; provide meaningful feedback in accordance with departmental standards and guidelines.
  • Compose test plans, test cases, execute UAT and support client testing needs.
  • Ensure that all phases of testing, including user acceptance testing, regression testing, client testing and parallel/pilot testing, validate that development meets the specifications of requirements and design and satisfies the project scope.
  • Apply industry knowledge and standards to BBH’s products and client workflows to ensure the most efficient and effective client solutions. Identify gaps in current products or solutions, and participate in creating new solutions to fill these gaps.
  • Solve difficult problems as needed through proposing insightful, knowledgeable, effective solutions.
  • Escalate budget and/or change of scope variances as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the Infomediary and Data Services products and services.  
  • Understand the changing business needs and how it impacts the client workflows and recommend solutions.
  • Participate in post project reviews and document lessons learned.

Desired qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree, and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 to 7+ years related work experience.
  • Financial services industry knowledge and experience.
  • Solid understanding of custody operations and fund accounting workflows.
  • Understanding of the key roles assumed by Custodians, Fund Accountants, Fund Administrators, and Transfer Agents preferred.
  • Experience applying project management principles and best practices including planning, scope management, business analysis, use case development, risk and issues management, test planning, test scrip writing, test case execution.
  • Proficiency using windows-based applications, including MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as web-based applications such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SWIFT messaging and data file transmission methods such as FTP and MQ, and API.
  • Creative and effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to recognize one's own strengths and limitations, taking appropriate initiative to pursue development activities and seek assistance as needed.
  • Proactive and results-oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and with clarity.
  • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations.
