The role:
The Project Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing project management activities within our organisation. This role ideally requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication and the confidence to attend meetings with a variety of stakeholders..
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track project progress, identify bottlenecks, and measure key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Interpret data to uncover insights and trends, providing actionable recommendations to project stakeholders.
- Attend meetings and produce reports or flowcharts to summarise the details of what has been discussed.
Project Support:
- Assist project managers in scoping, planning, scheduling, coordinating project activities.
- Monitor project timelines, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate project updates, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, including executives, project teams, and external partners.
- Create agendas to ensure meetings are moving the business forward and we are getting the most out of stakeholders time.
Essential Experience:
- You will have proven experience as a Project Analyst or similar role, preferably in a finance-driven environment.
- You will also be able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- An ability and track record of effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders is essential.
- Attention to detail coupled with an ability to work interdependently is also required.
Desirable Experience:
- Ideally you will have a familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and project management tools (e.g. Smartsheets, AzureDevOps).
- Proficiency in SQL and/or Databricks for data extraction, transformation, and analysis would be an advantage as well as being part qualified in CIMA or ACCA.
