The Payroll Manager will assume a leadership role in training and mentoring specific work stream employees as well as other internal and external leadership. Serve as a leader directing and executing all payroll activities, assuring weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually key deadlines are met. Continually working on streamlining and automation of tasks to assist employees the ability to work more efficiently. This position works out of our headquarters in Corporate Human Resources division.
What You’ll Work On
- Assist Payroll Director with crisis management/risk mitigation.
- This may include processing job evaluations, salary increases, appointments, absences, retirements, and terminations.
- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of para-professional staff to ensure that HR records management, processing, and other administrative activities are completed on time and within established budgets.
- Activities of the team may include accounting, distributing and preparing payments, benefits, taxes, and payroll deductions, calculating overtime, shift payments, sales commissions, and bonuses, maintaining payroll records.
- Coach and mentor team members and assign tasks to ensure that the team’s resources are used effectively.
- Position must network internally to build partnerships to be effective in an environment that is not supported by mandates
- Serve as a project leader directing and executing all payroll activities
- Work with the business to determine how to assure that we are following all compliance and company policies.
- Work with Payroll Director to communicate and implement changes to assure that the department and company goals are reached
- Associate's Degree
- A minimum of 8 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Payroll Professional
The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 – $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
