Financial Accounting and Advisory Services provide advisory services to clients regarding practical application of new standards and accounting regulations and assist in interpretation of, and ensuring compliance with, the effective financial accounting standards.

Your key responsibilities

Everything you’ll do will come back to providing exceptional service for our clients. Colleagues and clients from a diverse array of backgrounds will first turn to you for answers, so you’ll be a high-profile contact when it comes to resolving complex issues. As you build your knowledge and experience, you’ll become a credible advisor, influencing clients and engagement teams on resolutions that will impact entire industries.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Participating in adaptation of IFRS and other new accounting standards and amendments to the practice of clients;
  • Working with various clients, providing practical solutions on complicated accounting issues and mandatory reporting;
  • Working with clients' personnel to advise them on preparation of financial statements and assist them in developing financial information and improving reporting processes;
  • Studying technical issues and development of reference materials for clients and EY employees, that form part of intellectual capital of our company and are one of the most important factors in development of our innovative potential;
  • Providing operational advice to clients and EY employees on technical issues.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Graduated from Finance/ Audit/ Economics/ Accounting major;
  • Minimum 1 (one) year of relevant work experience;
  • Knowledge and understanding of IFRS and statutory accounting standards;
  • Experience in preparing and auditing IFRS financial statements is an advantage;
  • Ability to take up new challenges and being adaptable to various work environments;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills;
  • Fluency in written and spoken Azerbaijani and English. Russian is an advantage;
  • Proficiency in using office software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
