The Accountant is responsible for the booking and booking related administration tasks in accounting. This role reports directly to Manager of Finance and Accounting.

Client Details

Our client works is an international investment company based in Amsterdam. The Finance and Accounting Team is responsible for the Company's finance and accounting operations such as accounting closing, tax returns, financial reporting and cash management in Amsterdam headquarter as well as supervision of the regional finance and accounting functions. It liaises closely with all units located in Netherlands and European Region.

Description

As an Accountant you will:

  • Make journal entries by using the company booking system, including AP/AR and GL.
  • Assist the manager for various accounting tasks, such as monthly closing, quarterly consolidation, tax filing and auditing.
  • Be engaged in introduction and implementation of new ERP system.
  • Communicate with related departments / parties regarding booking information request.
  • Maintain and update accounting related documents and files.
  • Other ad hoc tasks when required.

Profile

The successful Accountant has:

  • Working experience as accountant of at least 3 years, having good knowledge of book-keeping and Dutch VAT.
  • Experience of SAP or similar ERP system.
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English at business level.
  • French speaker is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Working experience of French accounts is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Education of HBO degree in the Netherlands.
  • Team player, Strong sense of responsibility and urgency.
  • Attention to details and accuracy.

Job Offer

As a Accountant you will get:

  • A salary between EUR 3,500 - EUR 4,200 based on 37.5h.
  • 25 days of annual leave based on full time contract, and extra days during year-end office closure.
  • Employer Pension contribution (after successful completion of probation period of 1 month.
  • Hybrid policy with 2 days work from home.
