About the role

Our Central Large Corporate Tax team operates from Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, the East Midlands, and Milton Keynes, advising large and complex UK and multinational publicly traded groups, private equity-backed businesses, and utilities on a broad range of tax issues. We provide guidance on strategic business expansion, deal activity, financing, profit repatriation, navigating UK and international tax landscapes, and managing domestic compliance.

As a team member, you'll be encouraged to develop skills, share specialist knowledge, and engage with our leading tax professionals. Responsibilities include helping clients solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

What your days will look like:
  • Collaborating with Partners and Directors to build strong client relationships, identify opportunities, and expand the business.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients, serving as the primary contact for day-to-day tax matters and overseeing tax compliance services.
  • Leading and mentoring junior staff, contributing to their professional development and gaining experience across diverse clients.
  • Engaging in the development and sharing of technical knowledge, understanding the changing business environment, and managing risk processes and financial metrics.
This role is for you if:
  • Must possess ACA/ACCA/CTA qualification (or an international equivalent).
  • Extensive experience advising large corporate clients on UK and international tax matters, with proven client relationship skills and ability to manage internal teams effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop business services, contribute to business development, and sustain long-term client relationships.
  • Sound accounting knowledge, excellent report-writing skills, and a proactive mindset with the ability to manage time and stakeholder expectations efficiently.
What you'll receive from us:

No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.

We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
