Semi Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Semi-Senior/Practice Accountant at our company.

We are a group of companies, and you will be responsible for handling the internal accountancy and finance-related operations of all the companies under one umbrella working in UK.

This position allows an experienced Accountant with a minimum of 2-3 years experience to acquire operational and leadership experience and hands-on accounting responsibilities. We see this as a position that will prepare a high-performing Accountant for a role in team management.

Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:

• Completing year-end accounts, CT600, Corporation Tax computations, and Self-Assessment Tax Returns for a group of companies.
• Supported a team of accountants and a team lead to deliver the agreed level of service continuously.
• Training, coaching and mentoring apprentices and Junior Accountants.
• Quality control and file reviews of colleagues.
• Processing Payroll and handling payroll-related processes and operations effectively.
• An ability to prepare accounts, Management Accounts, VAT returns, corporation tax and SATR, and Internal Finance Workings.

The ideal Semi Senior Accountant will have the following experience/skills:

• You must have 2-3 years of experience within a UK-based accountancy practice.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be a Part-qualified/Qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent.
