Who we are looking for

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACCA or equivalent);
  • Significant previous auditing experience;
  • Previous line management experience
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills including good consultative and negotiation skills;
  • Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders;
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Significant experience in identifying key risks, respective control strategies and ability to assess good control design;
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability and drive to deliver high quality outcomes; Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with developed coaching and mentoring capability;
  • Experience in giving and receiving of feedback as part of the performance review process with the ability to support in the development of personal development plans. A minimum of a Strong rating in your most recent performance appraisal assessment; and
  • Demonstrate a commitment to developing yourself and others within the Global Talent Standards.
  • Ability to see the ‘bigger picture’ and how your role and the centre link into global transformation.
  • Developing ability to think strategically and how changes/decisions impact other areas of activity and other parts of the organisation.

Your future role

Responsibilities include:

  • Understand and deploy Deloitte’s global, Member Firm and Business strategies including key service offerings and target client segments.
  • Ownership and ensuring the management and optimisation of your team’s workflow and utilisation to ensure the allocation, completion and delivery of audit package work is to a high standard within an appropriate time frame.
  • Pro-active overall day to day management of your team leaders to include monitoring of teams attendance, performance, productivity, wellbeing and highlighting any issues or trends. Supporting and coaching your team leaders in ensuring issues are dealt with in line with the correct policies and procedures, advising accordingly and dealing with any escalations as required.
  • Overall responsibility for all communications to and from your teams, achieved through holding regular team meetings and producing any material to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Be part of Recruitment, Training and act as a Coach for team leaders (rotators) and collating appropriate performance related materials for formal performance reviews.
  • Building excellent relationships with your Member Firms and acting as the senior point of contact for both the Member Firm leads and managing any escalated issues and working in partnership to resolve to a satisfactory solution.
  • Being proactive with member firms to generate demand.
  • Leading and supporting the Centre Management on the testing, piloting and the implementation of new initiatives and any associated changes required, giving feedback, suggested improvements to your stakeholders and user MFs.
  • Lead on the identification and management of risks and escalate where required. Ensuring all risks are monitored and any necessary action plans are put in place.
  • Implementation of the new Project Management service offering, helping with the design and establishment of the team, as well as standard operating procedures establishment and implementation.
  • Collaborate with the other functions in the Centre (HR, L&D, IT) in order to make sure your teams operate effectively and in compliance with policies and procedures and any risks identified are escalated when needed.
  • Bring the RADC Centre to the next level with all your expertise, creativity and drive.
