The team you will join
Kenvue Finance is responsible for orchestrating company-wide financial initiatives managing such as short term and mid-long term business planning, developing long term strategy. such as business planning, and provides decision support to management through business analysis, risk and opportunity management.
The Finance Organization of Kenvue consists of various departments: Business Unit Finance (BUF), Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, Compliance, Tax.
FP&A manager is an integral part of the finance team, serving top management (CEO/CFO) needs through financial reporting and analysis for both consumer health business as well as Dr.Ci:Labo business with aggregate retail sales of $500m. While BUF focus on each individual Business Units (BU) to drive top line sales and providing data-driven insights to identify growth opportunities and optimize resource allocation, FP&A manager oversees total company performance, orchestrates company-wide financial initiatives such as business planning, and provides decision support to management through business analysis, risk and opportunity management. In addition to the FP&A tasks, the FP&A manager will also be responsible for compliance initiatives and change management of FP&A reporting operation upon the separation of Consumer business from Johnson and Johnson and reorganization of new company structure. The FP&A manager will report to Finance Senior Director and have 1-2 finance analysts reporting to the FP&A manager.
What you will do
The FP&A manager will be a key member of Japan Finance Team and lead management reporting, forecasting, planning, and analysis activities, collaborating closely with BUF.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly and quarterly closing process by analyzing gaps (Actual vs Budget, Actual vs Actual) in Gross Profit, SG&A, other income/expenses, Cashflow etc.
- Proactively identify and address SG&A risks and opportunities
- Lead overall P&L, BS and Cash Flow planning process by closely working with franchise controllers, regional FP&A team and other relevant functions
- Enhance forecast accuracy and provide risks and opportunities in a timely manner to prevent critical business issues
- Drive change management for FP&A process adapting to new organization design of Kenvue
- Prepare management review deck to support smooth communication with business leaders and regional team
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis requested by business leaders
- Create a culture for compliance and instill shared accountability in Health Care Compliance & SOX within Finance and in Non-Finance functions; identify potential impacts for the company that different business decisions may bring
Qualifications
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years + of experience in financial planning and analysis (Forecasting, Reporting, Business Analysis)
- Strong analytical skills with high IT literacy (esp. SAP & report platform) & strong skills in PowerPoint and excel
- Be open and embrace the changes, ability to adopt to changing business situations
- Manage conflict in the tough business situations
- Ability to present complex information and analysis in a clear and concise manner
- Proven time management skills and able to multi-task effectively, executing with speed as well as high levels of efficiency.
- Exceptional organizational building skills to lead and motivate team members to achieve common goals
- Strong and fluent Japanese and English written and verbal communication skill
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a multinational company desirable
- Proven ability to work through ambiguity and process design & improvement experience
- Use of Reporting Tools, Software, specifically SAP, One Streams, Tableau, BI dashboard etc.) is preferred
- Experience in Consumer Product Industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, business administration or a related field is desired
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and across a matrix organization
