The Fund Governance Solutions Group combines Regulatory Administration and Compliance Support resources to support our client’s regulatory needs. These groups are made up of experienced industry professionals, including attorneys, who are able to work with our client’s internal teams to plan filings, provide support on non-routine matters including proxy campaigns and fund reorganizations, as well as distribution and intermediary support.

Under general direction, the Consultant position will be responsible for conducting and participating in compliance testing and oversight initiatives, assisting in the review and production of regulatory filings and reports, the review, production and maintenance of Board and committee materials and the administrative activities related to Board and committee meeting support.

Working Model: Hybrid

We have a balanced hybrid working model to ensure you get the flexibility you need, and the successful candidate will spend their time between working in the office and working from home.

Major Duties :

  • Work with team to create operational procedures and keep all procedures current.
  • Project manage fund launch and fund event activities, overseeing and driving completion of tasks by clients, partners, vendors, and external fund companies/transfer agents.
  • Work with vendors on product development to ensure we addressing risk & increasing efficiency.
  • Present to clients in due diligence meetings and in ongoing planning meetings.
  • Rotate coverage of an early Morning Shift to commence at 5:30 AM CST.

Knowledge:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative group is required.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills are required.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change
  • Background in Fund Accounting and Custody operations - ideal but not required.
  • Technical skills / regulatory knowledge is required. Understanding transactional trade flows, and an operational understanding/experience with Fund-of-fund structures.
  • Prior experience with the NSCC/DTCC (FundSERV and Networking)
  • Prior operational experience in the Back office of a Trust, Custody, Broker Dealer working with mutual funds and CITs a plus.

Experience :

  • A College or University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred.
