Job Description & Summary
A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.

About the team
We are looking for a Finance Business Partnering Senior Associate to join our high performing internal finance team at PwC CI.

Our Finance Business Partnering team is an integral part of the Finance & Procurement function. They work with the leadership across the firm on the key decisions that drive the business forward. They are trusted to be proactive and honest, to build relationships and influence, to understand, challenge, and hold a mirror to the business, and to translate the numbers into a business story.

Job Summary
The Finance Senior Associate within the Business Partnering Team is a key support for general finance and business decision support. Working closely with the Finance Business Partnering Lead to produce the financial insights needed by our business. This is a collaborative, diverse and engaging role.

You will be a financial professional with good business, technical, analytical and commercial skills. As a strong communicator, you will work collaboratively and build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business. You will develop innovative solutions to support the businesses growth.

Responsibilities
As a Finance Business Partnering Senior Associate, you will play a key role in the following areas:

Management Reporting
• Assistance in preparing the monthly management accounts by interpreting the monthly financial results and providing commentary and analysis to the Finance Business Partnering Lead.
• Monitoring areas of financial performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
• Understanding the management information needs of the business and working on the design and implementation of PowerBI dashboards to satisfy these needs.
• Work closely with the wider business support teams to develop relationships and understand the strategic imperatives of the business.
• And other tasks as assigned by the Finance Business Partnering Lead.

Budgeting & Planning
• Working with the Finance Managers to assist with preparing revenue and cost budgets, plans and forecasts.
• Assisting with the production of forward looking and insight driven reporting to help the firm plan, prepare and manage future performance.
• Use business insights and detailed analysis to assist with support and guidance on P&L management.
• Demonstrating an understanding of the business’ issues and applying market and industry knowledge.

Financial Control
• Encouraging a culture of strong financial disciplines and embedding those behaviours.
• Assisting in the application, design and implementation of the firm’s accounting policies, procedures and controls within the business.
• Assisting with the year-end external audit.

This role reports to:
• Finance Business Partnering Lead
There are no direct reports into this role.

Qualifications & Certifications
• Qualified accountant with recognised accounting body.

Skills & Experience Required
Essential skills
• Technology minded individual with strong commercial awareness and analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to demonstrate application of accounting standards.

• Action oriented self-starter, focused on continuous improvement in process efficiency and driving change through technology.
• Evidence of building and sustaining strong relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable skills
• PowerBI experience

Travel Requirements:
You will be required to make short trips from time to time to the firm’s office in Guernsey and possibly also the UK Firm’s offices in London.
