Department overview

The Aviation Advisory team founded in 2016 has established it as best in class across its service offerings, growing to team of +50 staff in just 8 years. Current client offerings include; aircraft lease management, data migration management, aircraft maintenance reserve reviews, niche technical aircraft expertise, and a broad range of accounting and finance offerings to its clients.

The team is currently undertaking lease management for a fleet size of approximately 1,100 leases and provides professional services to 13 out of the Top 15 Aircraft Lessors.

Job Description

The suitable candidate to join the dynamic and fast-growing Aviation Advisory team will be a qualified accountant with previous accounting/audit experience, who is highly motivated, possesses excellent communication skills and holds a positive attitude towards working in a team environment.

It will be an attractive opportunity for an individual who can rise to a challenge, be adaptable and who enjoys working in a dynamic environment. The individual will be based in our Dublin office and will be expected to be flexible to visit client offices to meet their demands and continue to deliver the best-in-class service to our clients.

This is an opportunity for someone to work with the number one provider of Aviation Lease Services to the aircraft leasing industry in Dublin and be immersed into the industry with high calibre colleagues.

This role provides individuals with the opportunity to become a key member of the team and play a part in the continued and successful growth of the business unit. It offers highly attractive career development and progression opportunities.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver on financial report outputs (financial models, financial statements, analysis etc.);
  • Supervise and train more junior members of the team to ensure the firm’s standards are continuously achieved;
  • Analyse & establish the root cause of data issues;
  • Foster strong client relationships through regular communication, understanding their business challenges, and identifying opportunities for value-added services; and
  • Develop knowledge of core processes within aircraft leasing (maintenance reserves & aircraft lease management);
  • Oversee the work of trainees and seniors on client finance engagements; and
  • Support & manage projects & initiatives.

Key Skills & Attributes

  • ACA/ACCA qualified;
  • 4-5 years experience;
  • Audit experience from a top-ten firm would be advantageous;
  • Ability to interpret financial statements;
  • Experience of accounting standards - IFRS and Irish GAAP;
  • Knowledge on US GAAP would be beneficial;
  • Internal audit experience would be advantageous;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication;
  • Advanced excel and analytical skills;
  • Ability to understand problems quickly with a growth mindset and identify solutions;
  • Experience of working as part of a team supporting others; and
  • Skilled in motivating and managing staff to successfully meet tight deadlines.
