Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Trainee Officer (MTO) to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, advanced proficiency in Excel, and solid computer skills. This position requires assisting in various finance-related operations, including recording sales, processing refunds, and supporting the Expansion team with essential tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Recording and Reconciliation:

    • Accurately record and reconcile daily sales data.
    • Ensure that sales entries are aligned with company standards and reflect accurate figures.
    • Work closely with the retail and expansion teams to address discrepancies.
  • Refund Processing:

    • Manage and process refunds efficiently using Shopify and other payment processors.
    • Coordinate with the Customer Service (CS) team to ensure accurate refund resolutions.
    • Maintain a detailed log of all refund transactions for reporting and compliance purposes.
  • Expansion Support:

    • Assist in preparing and finalizing financial reports related to Expansion activities.
    • Collaborate with the Expansion team to issue invoices, credit notes, and statements of accounts (SOAs).
    • Ensure all financial data related to Expansion is updated and accurate.
  • General Financial Operations:

    • Assist in maintaining and updating financial records and reports.
    • Support the finance team in bank reconciliations, ledger reviews, and compliance tasks.
    • Prepare ad-hoc financial summaries as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Good computer skills, with the ability to adapt to various software systems.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

  • Prior experience in finance or accounting roles is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proactive and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
