Job Description
Vialto Partners is seeking a Finance Senior Associate to join our territory team, within our key Europe West region. Working alongside the local Finance Controller, you will play a key role in delivering strong financial governance, monitoring financial performance, minimising working capital, providing financial analysis and supporting the client engagement teams.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Support month-end and year-end closing to fulfill both internal reporting and external statutory reporting
- Providing revenue analysis on a month and YTD basis, including variance analysis to budget and forecast
- Distribute billing and collection targets to colleagues and monitor achievement, identifying any shortfalls or errors in calculation
- Ensure regular client billing takes place, helping identify opportunities to minimise WIP and accounts receivable
- Support the client engagement team to prepare high quality regular WIP reconciliations for all billing and that accurate performance variances are booked
- Support the engagement team in quarterly WIP attestation
- Help prepare management reporting to business unit leadership, including variance analysis to demonstrate how the budget/forecast and prior period compares against actual performance.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly operating reviews, including analysis of historical financials, variance explanations, updated forecasts with risks and opportunities to current plan, and key performance indicators.
- Provide analysis to support the preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasting, and business plan updates
- Monitor achievement of performance targets such as billing and collection goals, staff utilization, margin analysis, VVN utilisation, etc.
- Provide monthly analysis of other direct cost
- Ensure ongoing compliance with established policies and internal control procedures every month
- Act as the local contact for all queries / requests from either the finance shared service centre or centralised debt collection team
- Investigate and resolve any finance or admin queries raised by the client engagement team, working with other finance departments and IT
- Ensure local compliance with all Group policies and processes, reporting all material issues or non-compliance to regional management
- Deliver ad-hoc analysis and projects as requested by territory leader or finance controller
Desired Capabilities and Skills:
- Strong business acumen and understanding of working capital management
- Practical and commercial approach to problem solving and analysis
- Analytical and results oriented
- Proactive; always a self-starter
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including good command of spoken and written local language and English
- Collaborative and diplomatic approach when dealing with Business Leadership, the Controller organization, Treasury, Tax, IT, or colleagues
