What you will be responsible for
As a VP in the Transfer Agency Alternatives Team, you will:
- Oversee processes involved with investor tax year end reporting including 1099 production, 1042-S production, 5498 production, non-resident alien, and FATCA withholding validation and distribution withholding proofing.
- Ensure completion of tasks related to regulatory and tax requirements, including tax form and physical certificate production, AML investor authorization services, Rule 22c-2 excessive trade monitoring services, legal review, and coordination of internal and external audit request fulfillment.
- Monitor and ensure adherence of required controls, policies and standard operating procedures; signing off on certifications and approvals as validation.
- Present on activities with clients as a regular part of Due Diligence visits or as needed.
- Receive and resolve inquiries in a timely and accurate manner and communicate effectively with clients when necessary.
- Partner across teams to reconcile and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Ensure appropriate records of daily and monthly activities are kept.
- Oversee daily or weekly reporting functions for the team’s activities.
- Keep up to date on broader internal/external business issues; apply knowledge across team.
- Drive implementation of new policies and procedures as needed, participate in projects.
- Lead initiatives on behalf of business unit for improved workflow management and technology enhancements.
- Maintain knowledge of current alternative procedures and processes
- During the course of normal day to day operations, responsible for identifying any unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity and must report and/or escalate in accordance with corporate policy and guidelines detailed in relevant operating procedures.
- Prepare and submit annual TA-2 filing with the SEC.
- Actively manage staff performance through one-on-one meetings, periodic performance reviews, career path coaching, and consistent engagement.
- Liaise with and provide oversight with audits conducted by regulatory examiners, internal and external auditors.
- Review contractual requirements and related fee schedules for various Transfer Agency services including AML investor services
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS required with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial services; advanced degree is preferred.
- The incumbent must have 5 - 7 years’ management experience.
- The incumbent must have 3-5 years’ tax or compliance experience.
- The incumbent should possess substantial operational background.
- The incumbent must possess superior written and verbal communication skills.
- The incumbent must possess strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- The incumbent must possess strong interpersonal and influencing skills.

Salary Range:
$100,000 - $160,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
