Head of Finance role reports into the CFO this role leads the finance team within the UK
delivering all aspects of country specific financial accounting, group statutory reporting, and business partnering.

Description
- Overseeing all financial operations within the organisation
- Leading and mentoring a dedicated finance team
- Developing and implement effective financial strategies
- Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations
- Preparing detailed financial reports and forecasts
- Collaboration with senior leadership on strategic decision making
- Management of the organisation's budgets
- Liaising with external auditors and manage audits
- Working closely with other senior members of the finance function, People and Culture, IT, Operations, Impact and Influence and a range of other specialist groups.
- Liaison with Head of Internal Audit, particularly on financial crime issues and strengthening financial controls, and the Company Secretary.
- Responsible for improving finance services developing and and enforce policies
Profile
A successful Head of Finance should have
- Qualified Accountant
- Ability to develop operational solutions to meet business needs
- Exceptional technical accountancy skills and a high degree of numeracy
- Experience of working in a complex, multi-entity, multi-currency financial environment
- Strong understanding of international accounting standards and UK SORP
- Excellent understanding of statutory and consolidation accounting
- Experience of managing external audits
- Understanding of investment and principles of foreign exchange hedging
- Good systems skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts in straightforward ways and across language and cultural barriers
- Strong managerial skills: ability to prioritise, organize, manage and deliver on complex and changeable priorities; ability to motivate team.
- High levels of resilience and tenacity: proven ability to overcome obstacles
